A message to the Assyrian people in Lebanon and the whole world
Daniel Bar Sargon,

In a time of great hope and opportunity for our people, we find ourselves at a crossroads of history. After the oppression of the Baath Regime is now over in Iraq, we face other perils and fears at the hands of another old enemy; Chaos. Now it is the time to mobilize, to find our strength, to unite.

Yet, we are also confronted by the recurring theme of egoism and corruption. In the new dawn, the new "Iraq" with a place for our Assyrian people, we are faced with a question:

What are we willing to do to insure the survival and positive evolution of our people?

Give it a chance
James Zogby,

The Road Map is reason for hope, but the real dangers lay ahead and even an optimist must be wary. Extremists - Israeli, Palestinian and American - all remain committed to scuttling this still too feeble attempt to restart negotiations on the road to peace.

Never Forget The Ovens Of Auschwitz
gdy,

The man has no shame. First, he uses an aircraft carrier to pull off a frat boy photo op to strut around the deck in a flight suit. Now today, he violates the ground
consecrated by the blood of millions in visiting the Auschwitz Memorial in another photo op.

Assyrians in Iraq
John Paul,

Hello to all, we have recceived reports that 8 Assyrian men were kiddnaped from Bartillah , which is near Kirkuk, three Assyrian women were raped earlier this month, and two Christian men in Basra were killed. We cannot afford to loose one Assyrian, we have given our share of martyrs during, before, and after WWI. UNLESS WE MAKE NOISE HERE IN THE U.S. and in Lebanon, OUR PEOPLE IN IRAQ WILL CONTINUE TO BE KILLED SYSTEMATICALLY. Remeber the Turks with the help of Kurds massacred 750,000 of our people. We must always remeber the WWI massacre, because untill WWI, all Assyrians were living in the homeland in the surrounding areas of Nineveh. Iraq was not even a name, it was Mesopotamia.

Selecting Regimes for Change: The U.S. is Unfair in Choosing
Jay Shaft,

It seems that the U.S. government has become the expert on regime change. The problem is that they have ignored some of the worst examples of bad regimes because of valued trade status, being allied in the war on terror, and economic importance.

Hezbollah: The Next U.S Target in War on Terrorism? Not an Easy T
Jay Shaft,

I am not trying to promote the cause of Hezbollah or their actions. I think they had a some reasons for some of the actions they have been involved in, but I am not going to take sides. The U.S. has been building up to making them the next group to be targeted in the war on terror. I am pointing out all the reasons this would be a bloody and deadly mistake for Americans. The retaliations would fall on the American people worldwide.
