UNITED NATIONS (PL) —. The UN General Assembly this Tuesday, November 21 rejected the use of coercive measures as a tool for political or economic pressure against any nation for impeding the complete fulfillment of its citizens’ human rights.

On October 6, 1976, an airplane from the Cuban company Cubana de Aviacion exploded in the air near the coasts of Barbados. This explosion was the first terrorist attack against a civil airplane in the Western Hemisphere and killed 73 persons, including the Cuban junior Fencing team of that was returning from a competition in Venezuela.
