Rome protest against aggression on Lebanon

from imc-roma - 18.07.2006 12:09

Astonished by the violence unfolded by Idf on Lebanese civilians,
people from Rome could not be indifferent.
About 1000 people gathered in piazza Venezia (central Rome)
to say NO to the israeli militar aggression.

Torches lit the evining close to the Colosseum.
Few minutes before, some elements of the roman jew community tried to assault the peaceful demostration, showing once more the saddest face of sionism.
A prompt reaction managed to keep the situation under control.

During the march about 600 leaflets carrying the translation of the
"URGENT APPEAL FOR SOLIDARITY WITH LEBANESE CIVIL SOCIETY "
(downloaded from the homepage of indy-beirut)
where given out to people by local indymedia activists.

More protests will take place as long as Israel continues it's offensive.

Peace and Solidarity to all of you.

Peaceful demonstrations don't stop Nazis
Anti-imperialist

Peaceful demonstrations didn't stop the German Nazis and they won't stop their Jewish heirs.

When every Israeli or Zionist political, military or economic institution everywhere becomes a frontier that Israel and its co-conspirators have to guard, maybe they'll be deterred from their crimes against Arabs -- or just be too busy elsewhere!
