On June 2, 2005 Lebanon’s prominent journalist and historian Samir Kassir was assassinated. Kassir was a dedicated, vehement and eloquent critic of Syria’s presence in Lebanon, its security apparatuses and its Lebanese collaborators. Indymedia Beirut refuses to be silenced, like all journalists and concerned individuals. We reject and defy this attempt to turn Lebanon into a muzzled police state, one in which journalists are killed for publishing their beliefs.

We call on the people of Lebanon to show their defiance in the face of this state terrorism:

Bomb kills George Hawi in Beirut
Mark dameli

An anti-Syrian politician was killed on Tuesday when a bomb ripped through his car in Beirut, witnesses and security sources said.
They said George Hawi, former leader of the Lebanese Communist Party, died instantly in the blast in the Wata Musaitbi neighborhood of Beirut.

It was the second killing of an anti-Syrian figure in Beirut this month. Newspaper columnist Samir Kassir was killed on June 2 when a similar explosion destroyed his car.

Hawi's killing came two days after the end of Lebanon's parliamentary elections which were won by an Ex-pro-Syrian alliance led by Saad al-Hariri, son of a slain former prime minister

Beware of Espionage, Killings Meant to Divide
Kurt Brown, Saint Ram Bone

Many people have much too gain by having Syria and Lebanon divided. I doubt the credibility of reports on American media allegedly from London saying the bombings there by one of the Arab army factions.

Beware of espionage, as the first thing to die in war is the truth. We are under seige in Alabama and now a European weapons manufacturer will build weapons here to kill Arabs today, and most likely, many Americans tomorrow.

Stamp out eads. Go to EADS.com and hunt them down to tell their wealthy conglamorate, we are not alone and we do not fear dieing, especially with them. We did in WWII. We will do it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
